Hi, I’m Rei, and I believe that an organized home can spark an inspired life…

Sakura Rose was born out of my passion for organizing, continual improvement, and my love for living life to the fullest. Home is where the heart is, and it's my hope to help you gain and keep control of your space to help you clear your mind and focus on the things that you love.

Why I Love Organizing

"The world is but a canvas to our imagination."
-Henry David Thoreau

I was always that child who fully enjoyed staying home on the weekends to help my mom reorganize the kitchen and closets. I grew up with the mentality of “a place for everything and everything in its place”. I always thought that being super organized was just a part of my personality, until…

In my adult life, a seed of realization was planted in a tiny Tokyo apartment. The apartment was made for one, but both my husband and I shared this space. In this teeny-tiny space, my creativity blossomed! I had to use every nook and cranny as efficiently as possible, and that’s when I discovered my passion.

I have always enjoyed organizing, but my true passion comes from a constant effort to improve the efficiency, functionality, and beauty of my surroundings in order to make life easier and more enjoyable.

More than just organizing physical things, I believe that organizing is also an effort of mindfulness and striving to be a better self. With each space that I organize for myself, I am not only organizing my things, but I am organizing my life with the aim of living with intention and becoming the best person I can be.

So, what’s the meaning behind Sakura Rose?

Stemming from my background, Sakura Rose symbolizes what inspires me at my core.

Sakura, or cherry blossom, is the national flower of Japan. As they typically only bloom for a week out of an entire year, they symbolize the impermanence of life. Life is too short not to enjoy, appreciate every day, and live with intention.

While the rose carries many meanings, it is the national flower of the US and is a symbol of love, as well as, hope and new beginnings.

Sakura Rose inspires me to strive to be a better self each and every day.
